Re-enrollment in 2nd or 3rd year
For the administrative procedures, go to the College of Doctoral Studies website.
Obtaining the agreement of the Director of the Doctoral School for re-enrollment in the doctoral program (in 2nd or 3rd year) the following year is conditional on an annual progress report being submitted in June, a key element for the Doctoral School in monitoring the progress of the thesis.
Re-enrollment in 4th year
For the administrative procedures, go to the College of Doctoral Studies website.
An extension of the thesis period may be requested from the director of the Doctoral School, after an opinion from the thesis supervisor has been provided through a letter stating the reasons the thesis has fallen behind schedule and setting a precise timetable for the end of the thesis. The unit director must also approve the request. An interview with the individual monitoring committee for the thesis must also be carried out before making the request. Re-enrollment is dependent on a favorable opinion from the individual monitoring committee and by the availability of funding for a short period, until the end of the thesis, for an amount determined in proportion to the time required to carry out the research in the laboratory.
Otherwise, re-enrollment beyond the third year is reviewed over the course of the year and is granted on the condition that a thesis manuscript approved by the thesis supervisor is presented.
Student status cannot be cumulated with that of a jobseeker. If they were to be combined, the student would run the risk of having one of the two statuses cancelled and the reimbursement of the related sums.
It is therefore impossible to complete a fourth year on the thesis in parallel with enrollment as a jobseeker.
